This is a relaxing image, right?

Flutterby

Honest truth, that's the original common name
for butterflies.
Makes sense, doesn't it?

Accidental Koi

I was after the waterlily, and didn't notice the
fish until I got home.

Dramatic Skies

The recent rains were refreshing.

Toad Portrait

I visit a lot of other blogs, and it looks like
this one is the first with a toad portrait.

Summer Evenings

When the shadows get long and the temperature
finally drops below 100, the brutal sun kisses the
horizon and brings us a few moments of beauty.

Hail Mary...

I don't know about you, but I'm praying for
the people of London in their time of crisis.
Today's cowardly terrorist attacks are yet
another reminder of how wrong it is to kill
innocents in the name of one's religion.
The terrorists are accomplishing nothing in
favor of their cause.
I don't think they really want us all to get
much more angry at them, unless their true goal
is to have every free nation finally band together
and exterminate them.

New Braunfels

We made a spur-of-the-moment trip up IH35, and did
some antique prowling in New Braunfels.
It was HOT and I spent too much time on the
street with my camera, but got some good stuff.
Here's a pair of cowgirl boots that complete a nice
scene for the 4th Of July.

This old movie theater has a classic entrance.

Clean And Powerful

This pair of General Electric C45ACCTE locomotives
are new and clean.
Add Union Pacific's 'Armour Yellow' paint with wings,
and some tasty evening light and you get one of my
favorite recent train photos.

Moo

It's been a while since my last update, and as
this photo proves I don't have anything interesting
to put here, so we'll just have to settle for this
dirty calf with the long eyelashes.
