Milepost 225, VofTx Post 100

Southwest of San Antonio near the Nelson Rd landfill
is this straight section of track.
When I get tired of shooting train photos in urban
surroundings this is one of the places I go.

This is my 100th post here at
Views Of Texas.
Having a place like this where the need to update
keeps me and my camera busy has been a tremendous help in
learning to take many different kinds of photos.

A very nice shot for your centennial. I like the simple geometry and the amazing sky.

I'd like to say that you've made amazing improvements in the time you've been running the site. But, looking back at some of your archives, they were pretty good too.

...and getting the secret word wrong locked me out from leaving this comment earlier. At least now I know what happens. (rfsuip)

Thanks, M.
For the comment AND your persistance at getting it posted.
I showed this one around the RRForum, and they seemed to like the balance of the composition: 'the tree makes it' being the general refrain.
Using a shot already titled 'Milepost 225' as my 100th (mile)post was pure luck, and I was also lucky that I spotted the postcount before I started typing.
I love when things seem pre-ordained in my favor!
