September 11

I didn't know why I was so intent on taking pictures
of this simple little scene yesterday, but after looking
at the results for a few hours, I finally 'got it'.

September 11 has come around again, and there's another
massive cleanup and healing process happening in America.

The red, white and blue may be faded in this photo, but
they still cheer me up.

Nice sentiment Keith and I like the subtle tones of the colors. Not bright and garish, but calming.

While there are a lot of great shots on this site, this one is my favorite.

I also enjoyed the shot of the Lincoln Memorial. I wasn't familiar with the plugin you mentioned and am going to go download it as soon as I leave your site. I've been using some methods I found on Carl Volk's site - http://www.carlvolk.com/photoshop21.htm to convert digital images to b/w. You may find them interesting if you haven't already read them. There are a lot of useful photoshop tutorials on his site.

I took special pleasure in your site, because I also enjoy photography. I have several pictures on my own site, althought I must say I find your's to be better photographs.

I'm going to bookmark your site and return from time to time to view your latest shots. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Laurie.
And John, that's very kind of you.
I'm not known for 'urban abstract' and 'street' photography, and lately have been forcing myself to look for this type of shot.
Comments like yours give me the confidence to further explore such territory.
Thanks.
I enjoyed your site, too.
